How to remove the sticky mess of bubble gum from your hair

Did you fall asleep again with gum in your mouth and now it’s stuck in your hair? Ugh once again you have to figure out how to get the bubble gum out of your hair without cutting a huge chunk of your hair off like last time. Well you have come to the right place because here are a few tips that will help you with your bubble gum removal without loosing a bunch of your hair while using products and things that you already have in your own home. No need to run to the store with a huge sticky mess in your hair for everyone to look at.

Bubble gum removal for your hair is as simple as your kitchen cabinets. Peanut butter is the oldest trick to gum removal, especially when the gum is in your hair. All you have to do is take a spoonful of peanut butter, creamy not crunchy unless that is all you have since the peanuts will be hard to work with, and rub it into the bubble gum. Make sure you have the peanut butter worked into the bubble gum really well and then just wash your hair as you normally work. You might have to pick out a few tiny pieces of bubble gum that the peanut butter missed but all in all this trick works really well.

Another great way for gum removal is an ice cube. Yes just a simple piece of frozen water can help with your bubble gum removal issues. All you need to do is grab an ice cube from your freezer and hold the ice cube on the bubble gum until the bubble gum freezes. You will then be able to pull the gum from your hair, slide it off your hair or if it is really frozen it will just fall off into your hand.

If you have baby oil in the house you can use this also as a way to help you with your gum removal. Just take a small amount of baby oil and rub it around the gum and also in the hair that is around the gum. This should make the gum slippery enough to slide right out of your hair without any issues. Then wash your hair to removal the baby oil and you are all set to show your hair to the world again, minus the sticky mess of bubble gum.

There are also several other items that can be used for gum removal such as cooking oil, mayonnaise and anything else that is slippery or oily. The oil in these products will help the bubble gum slide right out of your hair without the pain of pulling and tugging it out. This will also help you to avoid a trip to the salon to have your hair cut to remove the bubble gum from your locks. Or you can avoid the whole situation by spitting out the bubble gum before you go to sleep.
